Valentine's Day

From Wikipedia:  February 14 is celebrated as St. Valentine's Day in various Christian denominations (named for various martyrs named Valentine). The first recorded association of Valentine's Day with romantic love is in Parlement of Foules (1382) by Geoffrey Chaucer.  In 18th-century England, the day evolved into an occasion in which lovers of all religions expressed their love for each other by presenting flowers, candy, and sending greeting cards.

In this country, in the 20th century, the day became more aligned with physical love than spiritual love (for adults at least!).
